Welcome to my web­site! I am an as­sis­tant pro­fes­sor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Louisiana State University. Before join­ing LSU, I was a post­doc­toral re­search as­so­ci­ate at the Center for Business and Public Policy (CBPP) in the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

My re­search lies at the in­ter­sec­tion of en­vi­ron­men­tal eco­nom­ics, health eco­nom­ics, and pub­lic eco­nom­ics. I use large ad­min­is­tra­tive datasets and causal in­fer­ence meth­ods to study the im­pacts of en­vi­ron­men­tal pol­lu­tion, the ben­e­fits of en­vi­ron­men­tal qual­ity, and the ef­fec­tive­ness and dis­tri­b­u­tional con­se­quences of en­vi­ron­men­tal poli­cies. My work in­cludes wa­ter qual­ity and drink­ing wa­ter con­t­a­m­i­na­tion, in­dus­trial chem­i­cal ac­ci­dents, wa­ter mar­kets, and the health im­pacts of nat­ural dis­as­ters.

I earned my Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021, a mas­ter’s de­gree in Public Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2014, and a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in Economics from Wuhan University in 2012.
